Sif Icap Chile SpA operates an Alternative Trading System (ATS) whose objective is to facilitate the meeting of buy and sell orders for financial instruments and publicly offered securities among qualified investors.
The service consists of receiving, recording, and disseminating participants’ buy and sell interests, and bringing together or matching compatible orders, acting as a facilitating intermediary between the parties. The Company does not buy or sell securities on its own account, does not take positions in the traded instruments, and does not manage client funds.
The system operates through direct interaction between brokers and participants, via telephone calls and electronic messaging and recording channels, in which information about prices, volumes, and trading conditions is exchanged. Once an agreement between the parties is reached, confirmation and settlement are carried out bilaterally between the counterparties or through their custodians or infrastructure of external compensation.
In summary, Sif Icap acts as a facilitator of the price formation process and the meeting of positions, connecting qualified investors through telephone and electronic channels, under an intermediation model without handling funds or carrying out transactions on its own account.
